Fulya Art Center
In the past footballers would train on the field at Fulya, and it has now been transformed into Istanbul’s most important cultural-art venue. Fulya Art Center is one of Beşiktaş Municipality’s most tangible examples of its contribution to culture-art, and opened on 24 November 2010 with Istanbul State Opera and Ballet’s spectacular opening concert. The hall has a capacity for 630 people. It can easily house an orchestra of 100 people both on stage and backstage. This important centre plays host to the concerts and performances of two of Istanbul’s important institutions. Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet meet with art lovers in this hall.
